AI Reality Check: What It Means For Our Kids, Jobs, Resources & Future

About this event

AI is changing what our kids learn in school, which jobs will still be around in five years, and how much water and power our neighborhoods have left. Most of us feel these changes happening, but we rarely get a straight answer about what they mean, or what we can do about them. This event is where you get that answer.

Join us at Hub Coffee Roasters in Reno on October 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM. We'll walk through how AI is already changing schools and jobs across Nevada, and what new data centers mean for the water and power our communities depend on. Bring whatever questions have been on your mind – this event is built around your questions, not a lecture.

You'll leave knowing more than when you walked in, and you'll know exactly where these decisions are being made in Nevada and how you can weigh in before they're final.

With only 35 seats, expect a real conversation, not a big crowd. Come ready to ask questions, and to act on what you learn. This event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, so we recommend you RSVP soon, and look forward to seeing you!
